Four days of classic climbs, unbelievable scenery and great food, what’s not to love? For cycling lovers our Dolomites Weekender doesn’t get much better!
Often called the best cycling route in the world, riders will have the chance to take on the Sella Ronda, a circular route over four climbs with amazing views throughout.
The true highlight of this long weekend is the scenery in all directions. On every ride we are surrounded by incredible views, clean air and life-affirming riding.
Our hotel for the weekend will be located in Badia near Corvara, one of our favourite cycling towns in the world and the home of the popular Maratona. Perfect for post-ride spas & beers on the balcony!

Badia
Arrival day. We meet you in Venice Airport and head out at 12:30pm for a 15:30pm arrival in Badia. Our mechanics will then be on hand to build bikes. For those wanting a quick spin, we have a warm up ride up the Gardena. Our welcome dinner is at 19:30pm to go through the agenda in more detail.
Airport Transfers
Airport collections are from Venice (VCE) and the drive to Badia takes around three hours.
We will meet you in arrivals and give you a number to call if you are delayed.

Welcome Dinner
After breakfast, we meet at for a rollout at 09:30am. Our mechanic is on hand for any last minute bike work before we head out towards the Passo Campolongo together.
The group will ride the Sella Ronda over the Pordoi where we grab a coffee and then the stunning Sella & Gardena. We have a late lunch back in La Villa before a relaxing afternoon.

Badia
Another breakfast rollout at 09:30am. Today we head off the beaten path and escape the world going over the Passo delle Erbe and then back over the Gardena. A stunning local ride on narrow, empty roads today is one of the highlights of the weekend.

A monster day in the mountains going over the Valporolo, dropping towards Cortina before the mighty Giau and Campolongo on the way home.

After one last breakfast, we say our goodbyes. The transfer leaves Badia at 10:00am to get back to Venice for 13:00pm. Book your flights for anytime after 15:00pm and head home with some amazing memories of riding one of the world’s great cycling regions.
Airport Transfer
We leave Badia at 10:00am and get to Venice with plenty of time for you to check in with your bike, grab a last minute gift and have a stress-free return flight. If your flight schedule does not fit with our transfer times, please contact us and we can discuss private transfer options.

The Dolomites is a special place in the cycling world. Ask anyone that’s been and they will rave about the incredible scenery, warm hospitality and amazing climbs (and descents!). On the rides we take in the classic climbs of the region including the Passo Giau, Sella Ronda and some local routes off the beaten path. The routes for each day are challenging but suitable for most regular riders. La Villa and Badia is the perfect setting for some post-ride R&R. Our hotel has a spa and sports massage and the terrace out front is perfect for a couple of beers as the sun goes down over the mountains.

Enrico Pengo was born in Vicenza in May 1972. He was a mechanic in the professional teams of Zg Mobili (93-94-95), Gewiss (96), Batik (97), Ballan (98-99) and Lampre (from 2000 to 2016); Bahrain-Merida, 2017 to 2020.
He has been the mech on 20 Tour de France, 25 Giro D’Italia and 10 World Championships with national teams. You’re in very safe hands.
He is considered a legend in Italy. His nickname is “the Mitico” which we think means he is mythical.
Tommaso “Tommy” is a former Italian cyclist who participated in the youth Olympics for Italy. Following his time racing he decided to dedicate himself to working as a mechanic to stay involved in the world of cycling. In just a short time he progressed through the ranks and became a mechanic for the Italian national MTB team as well as for some under 23 teams. He credits his success to his teacher and mentor, Enrico Pengo aka “The Legend”.
Andrea Ferrigato is affectionately known by his former teammates and friends as “Ferri” for his legs of “Steel”. Ferri has had a professional career spanning 15 years. He competed 8 times at the Giro d’Italia and 4 times at the Tour de France. He was a stage winner of the Giro d’Italia (1994) and his best year was 1996. In that year he won the Leeds International Classic and the Grand Prix of Switzerland.
Andrea is an extremely experienced host and he has worked with Sportive Breaks since 2022. In the last few years Andrea has hosted many cycling tours and Gran Fondo weekends for Sportive Breaks. He received truly excellent customer feedback.
You can ride with Andrea on all of Sportive Breaks Italian cycling events. Andrea is also present at Mallorca 312.
